HorseCare — major platform update App Store

We are pleased to introduce HorseCare version 1.34.37 — one of the largest updates to the platform to date.
This release combines four months of development focused on improving usability, subscription management, training analysis, sensor pairing, and overall application stability.

The update introduces a completely redesigned subscription system based on Apple In-App Purchase, training video recording inside the app, simplified QR sensor pairing, license sharing between riders, and dozens of improvements across the HorseCare ecosystem.

HorseCare — What’s New

Version 1.34.37 · Previous release: 1.30.2

This is a large update that combines four months of work. The headline change is a fully redesigned subscription system, but we’ve also added training video recording, a new way to pair sensors, license sharing, and many quality-of-life improvements across the app.

Important: Payments moved to the App Store

Web checkout via Stripe has been retired. All subscription purchases, trials, renewals, and cancellations now happen through Apple’s In-App Purchase using your Apple ID. This makes payments faster, more transparent, and lets you manage everything from your iPhone’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

If you previously paid through the web, please contact support if you have any questions about your subscription status.

Highlights

  • Brand-new subscription experience built around App Store In-App Purchase, with per-horse plans, trials, pretrial flow, and clear handling of renewals, cancellations, and past-due states.
  • Record training videos directly in the app, label them as dressage or pathology, and play them back later — including remote playback of trainings recorded on other devices.
  • Pair sensors with a single QR scan. Scan a bundle code and the app pairs the whole set for you.
  • License sharing. Share access to a Pro horse with another rider so they can train using your subscription.

New

Subscriptions & access

  • Completely rebuilt subscription screens with a clear list of plans, per-horse pricing, and easier comparison.
  • Pretrial flow lets you preview what a trial unlocks before committing.
  • New “Cancelling” purchase state so you always know where your subscription stands.
  • Trial support for the Rider plan.
  • License sharing — invite another user to train with your Pro horse subscription.
  • Server-side logout so signing out actually ends your session everywhere.
  • Device & session limit handling: see and manage where you’re signed in.

Training & video

  • Record video during training and review it afterwards.
  • Label recorded videos as dressage or pathology for easier review.
  • Watch training videos uploaded from other devices.
  • Save training videos to your Photos library.
  • Downloading stage now shows progress so you know how long it will take.
  • Pull to refresh on the Trainings list.
  • Landscape and portrait layouts for the training screen.
  • Draft trainings UI improvements.
  • Asymmetry polar chart visualizing horizontal-tracking data.

Sensors & pairing

  • Scan a sensor bundle with a single QR code instead of pairing each sensor individually.
  • “Scan QR” prompt card appears on the home screen when sensors aren’t selected yet.
  • Improved scanner with better landscape layout and camera handling.
  • Collapsible empty-sensors overlay for a cleaner home view.
  • Heart-rate (HRM) sensors are now handled separately from the main sensor bundle, with their own connect flow.
  • Rider sensor support with rider height for more accurate measurements.

Account & security

  • Restore password directly from the sign-in screen.
  • Account deletion now requires password confirmation.
  • Shake your phone on the sign-in screen to send diagnostic logs to support.
  • New notification types so you don’t miss important events.

Languages

  • Improved localization across the app, with refreshed Chinese (Hanyu Pinyin) and German translations and many fixes in other languages.

Improvements

  • Faster training loading. Heavy data such as horse power and horizontal tracking is now loaded on demand with proper loading indicators.
  • Smoother camera flow with better orientation handling, full-screen layout, and rotated camera preview.
  • Better sensor connection feedback — clearer errors, timeouts, and the ability to cancel.
  • Bluetooth state checks during lameness reports so you know when something is off.
  • Lameness reports now use a new backend (V2) for better accuracy and stability.
  • Improved network monitor for more reliable behaviour on weak connections.
  • Smoother Pro badge animation and subscription indicator.
  • Postprocessing now detects broken datasets instead of failing silently.
  • Per-horse subscription model with proper expiration handling and Pro overlay on the horses list.
  • HRM connection flow rebuilt for reliability.
  • Training stop rules updated for more predictable behaviour.

Fixes

  • Fixed phantom “missing sensors” prompt that sometimes appeared on cold launch.
  • Fixed camera permissions handling.
  • Fixed a rider sensor bug and rider sensor decoding.
  • Fixed an HRM data issue.
  • Fixed duplicated subscriptions appearing on some accounts.
  • Fixed the subscription renewal flow.
  • Fixed several Pro / Enterprise eligibility checks.
  • Fixed the license sharing identifier.
  • Fixed trial upgrade to the Enterprise plan.
  • Fixed video goal handling, video threading, and video start timestamps.
  • Fixed speed metric unit display.
  • Fixed date formatting in non-default locales.
  • Fixed the bundle scanner dismissing immediately on first open.
  • Fixed battery alerts and the battery percentage calculation.
  • Fixed the “isPro” rule across the app.
  • Fixed user preference handling.

Notes

If you run into any issues after updating, please use the “Shake to send logs” gesture on the sign-in screen, or contact support directly.
