Each limb of the horse carries a high-tech sensor (comprising a 3-axis accelerometer, magnetic compass and gyroscope) that takes over 1000 measurements per second, allowing the smallest details of the limb's trajectory to be recorded with the finest precision.

Data on thousands of horses and training tracks

Sensor on the horse's legs

A high-tech sensor is placed on each horse's leg

Consolidation server for data

Sensor data is transferred to the cloud-based part of the project, via a mobile app, where the data is processed by special algorithms with AI and Big Data applications

Data analysis algorithm

Stability control of the pattern

Forming a message to the owner when a potential problem arises

Studying the individual characteristics of the horse

Forming typical gait patterns

Monitoring changes

A database of typical gaits is compiled from the data of a particular horse and stored in the animal's profile. Each new block of data is analysed for the presence and magnitude of abnormalities. If there are significant deviations, a message is sent to the owner.

The hoof map abnormalities detected by the system may indicate the development of a pathological process, possibly leading to lameness. In the third stage of project development, it is planned to make recommendations for the localisation of a possible pathological process.
