Oleg Dyvinets talked to Dmitry Oparin about this. It was in August 2021. Dmitry says “Yes we did.” We were making a device that we planned to mount on a GoPro camera. And this little device has a gyroscope inside, an accelerometer, GPS was built in. This device was planned to be used for video image correction. The GoPro records a corrected video image into its memory.

Gyroscope (from the Greek γῦρος “circle” + σκοπέω “watch”) is a device capable of responding to changes in the orientation angles of the body on which it is mounted, relative to the inertial reference frame. The simplest example of a gyroscope is a yoke (a volley).Wikipedia.org
An accelerometer (Latin: accelero, to accelerate and Greek: μετρέω, to measure) is a device that measures the projection of apparent acceleration (the difference between the true acceleration of an object and gravitational acceleration). Typically, an accelerometer is a sensitive mass fixed in an elastic suspension. The deviation of the mass from its initial position in the presence of apparent acceleration provides information about the magnitude of this acceleration.Wikipedia.org
