What is an RFID number?

An RFID number is a unique electronic identifier of a horse stored on a microchip.
The microchip is usually implanted under the skin or administered as a bolus and contains an individual identification code.
The RFID number is used for automatic animal identification, as well as for storing and verifying passport details, health records, and ownership information. The data is read contactlessly using a dedicated scanner.
