Why are there different strap lengths in the sensor kits?

The strap length included in the kit is not random. It primarily depends on whether the horse uses protective equipment on its legs during training.

Different training conditions and types of equipment affect the overall leg circumference, which is why straps of different lengths are required to ensure proper and comfortable sensor attachment.

If the horse does not use boots, bandages, or other protective equipment during training, there is no additional volume on the leg.
In this case, shorter straps are usually sufficient, typically in the range of 250–300 mm.

If the horse uses boots, bandages, or other protective equipment, the leg circumference increases.
To ensure secure and comfortable sensor fixation, longer straps are required — usually 300–400 mm, depending on the type and amount of protection used.

Important

Choosing the correct strap length ensures:

  • secure sensor attachment;
  • comfort for the horse during training;
  • accurate and stable data collection.

When selecting the strap length, it is recommended to consider the actual equipment used during training, rather than the discipline alone.
